Resurrection: of Jesus Christ
Matthew confirms at least two things about Jesus resurrection. Firstly it was the begining to dawn when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to His tomb, yet still dark outside.
Secondly an angel appears and told them that Christ had already risen, which meant that He rose sometimes before this period, and not at sunrise on sunday morning.
This makes good sense since Jesus told the religious leaders of His day that He would spend three days and three nights in the tomb.
He called this the sign of the prophet Jonah who spent three days and three nights in the belly of the whale that swallowed him (Matthew23:39-40).
This goes to prove that Christ was not crucified on Good Friday and was risen on Easter Sunday as there is no three days and three nights within that period, Therefore I would like to ask the question, where did this myth fits in.
